Parents of lost babies and potential of all kinds: come here to share the technicolour, the vividness, the despair, the heart-broken-open, the compassion we learn for others, having been through this mess — and see it reflected back at you, acknowledged and understood.

ttc | pregnancy | birth after loss > Weird Cycles?

I'm in the TTC board too but thought I'd put this question out to everyone. Since my C-section in January, I've had pretty normal 29 days cycles, and have always had really reliable cycles. Last month I had a 31 day cycles and this month I'm on day 32, no period yet. I've felt normal symptoms for the last few days and have been thinking it could start any minute (literally wearing a pad) but nothing. This is our first month "officially" trying, and I'm just worried that something else is up. I was traveling a bit this month, some extra stress outside of the normal baseline grief/stress but nothing major. Anyone have this experience or some comforting words?

I should say, I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative. We used protection for most of last month, and this cycle I'm currently waiting for is the one we are starting to try with.

Those kinds of variations are pretty normal for me—they weren’t before losing my daughter, I used to get my period every 28 days to the hour but now it varies from something like 25-26 to 32....my doctor said it was normal. Good luck!

AB - it's a relief that I'm not the only one - I did get my period yesterday, about 6 days after I expected it. It seems like as soon as I stopped expecting it it came. Sigh.
