Parents of lost babies and potential of all kinds: come here to share the technicolour, the vividness, the despair, the heart-broken-open, the compassion we learn for others, having been through this mess — and see it reflected back at you, acknowledged and understood.

ttc | pregnancy | birth after loss > April Pregnancy Thread

This is to continue the March pregnancy thread, since I know there are a few of us right now.

I'm past 24 weeks, and the doctors say she is healthy. I hope you are all getting good news and having non-eventful pregnancies.

Great to hear things are progressing smoothly so far Jack’s Mom. Thank you for setting up the new thread.

We’ve hit 26 weeks. I’m struggling with hip pain and what I guess is round ligament pain. It’s so hard to relax, given every moment I’m scared the pain could be something else. It’s been a tough few days.

Sending all my thoughts to others inching their way through and doing their best to be strong x

Hi Jack’s mom and S. I am cautiously joining this thread. I’m currently 22 weeks with our second baby - we lost our first, sweet M, last year in February. She passed away at three days old due to complications from a rare heart defect. The defect had gone unnoticed in utero, so her diagnosis and subsequent passing was a huge shock to our doctors, family, and us.

We just had a fetal echocardiogram on this baby, another girl, and so far she looks healthy. I’m praying that she really is! It was definitely a relief to hear that her heart is looking good. We are going to have another echo in about 7 weeks - the cardiologist said normally he wouldn’t bring people back for a second echo, but wanted to in our case just out of an abundance of caution. I appreciated his kindness and that he wants to be very thorough!

I’m thinking of all the other mamas out there who are going through a pregnancy after loss. Thank goodness we can lean on each other for support. Jack’s mom, I’m so glad your baby is looking healthy. S, I’m sorry that you’re dealing with hip pain and the stress that goes along with it. I hope it will improve!

Hi All, I’m glad to hear everyone is doing well. I’ve just hit 26 weeks, we had a growth ultrasound yesterday and baby is growing well and doing fine by all accounts. I’m having a lot of anxiety at times but trying to keep It under control, but there are moments when it is just overwhelming. Sending love to all of you and hoping that everything keeps progressing smoothly for all!
