Parents of lost babies and potential of all kinds: come here to share the technicolour, the vividness, the despair, the heart-broken-open, the compassion we learn for others, having been through this mess — and see it reflected back at you, acknowledged and understood.

Thanks to photographer Xin Li and to artist Stephanie Sicore for their respective illustrations and photos.

ttc | pregnancy | birth after loss > Baby names

I'm about 23 weeks pregnant and starting to actually believe this might happen. I'm blanking on baby names --- especially if this baby is a boy.
Would love something meaningful post my losses. I have a few options for baby girls meaning rainbow, hope, etc. but stuck on boys. Any suggestions?

Our rainbow's name means "The Third" as he came after my LC and my Shelby who was stillborn at 20 weeks. I like that he is named as my third child as kind of acknowledgement that Shelby will always be my second even though everyone else can't always see that.

A quick google search showed these names- not sure if you are religious or not, a fair few reference god.

I really like Luca and Felix. All the best with the rest of your pregnancy x

Anthony - priceless one
Asher - blessed, happy
Benedict - blessing
Cadeau - gift
Felix - fortunate, happy
Gabriel - hero of God
Jonathan - God has favoured
Luca - bringer of light
Luke - light
Magnus - great
Matthias - God's gift
Maximillian - greatest, Maxim, Maximus
Nathaniel - God has given
Phoenix - rising bird
Salvatore - saviour
Samuel - God's word
Simon - God has heard
Theodore - gift
Zechariah - God has remembered

Thank you, Shelby's mum.
These are great. I have Felix on my list --- but an acquaintance just named one of her twins Felix. Still debating if I know them well enough to take the name off our list.
