Parents of lost babies and potential of all kinds: come here to share the technicolour, the vividness, the despair, the heart-broken-open, the compassion we learn for others, having been through this mess — and see it reflected back at you, acknowledged and understood.

Thanks to photographer Xin Li and to artist Stephanie Sicore for their respective illustrations and photos.

ttc | pregnancy | birth after loss > Anyone try sperm sorting for gender?

I know this may be a sensitive subject, but I am just curious. We lost a boy, then were blessed with a rainbow girl (plus another older girl from before our loss). I feel as though there is a hole in my heart for a son. I may need to just accept that will always be the case. And the truth is, it will, even if we were to have another baby and it were to be a boy. I am just curious as to whether anyone here has used the sperm sorting (& IUI) technique to achieve a desired gender for a rainbow baby. The full IVF + PGD / PGS is not necessary and is prohibitively expensive, but I may consider shifting the odds more in our favour if we decide to have another child. Any experiences? Thanks.
