You went up 71% in two days, and they say as long as it's 66%, you're doing okay. Also, the higher that they are, the longer it takes. So that's probably why your midwife said they were doing what they should. I don't really have anything to help you stop freaking out about those three specific things, but I think those numbers are reassuring. Hang in there mama xoxoxo

Okay, I don't know where I got 71%, I think that math is off and I can't figure out how I used to do it to make it right. But I did your numbers on an HCG calculator and you are doubling every 4 days, which is within normal for that level of HCG.
On a side note, this is why I am never getting my HCG taken again. Are they good? What's normal? There is such a huge variation between people and none of the studies agree with each other. Ugh ugh ugh. Sending you big (((hugs)))!

Wishing I could remember what the numbers were from either my last pregnancy (single) or previous (twins) but I couldn't even hazard a guess.
Have the medical folks expressed any concern that they seem to be too high and/or not rising as they should? If they haven't, I would really try not to stress. As Keely says, there is such a lot of variation in the actual numbers and the fact that yours are still rising must be a good thing?
I know I'm not the ideal person to tell you to stop freaking out about (b) but I do know many pairs of twins who have arrived into this world safely and in good health. Twin pregnancy does increase the risk of some complications but they are still only risks, not certainties.
I hope you can get a scan on Monday or Tuesday and that it will put your mind at ease. Hang on in there.

They haven't, but they've both told me that they don't do these tests and implied that I know more about them than they do :(
Thank you Catherine and Keeley. I'm calmer now (and a bit more optimistic) than I was earlier, but I really need a scan now. Hopefully I'll be able to get it on Monday.....

I think you should breathe :) It's going up, the levels are really good and I know once mine hit 15000, no one expected them to double.
I don't know about molar pregnancy, but if it is twins, it is twins :)
Lots of love.

So, not doubled. But also pretty high for where I am. According to one scale I found it's actually off the chart.
According to some charts I'm less than 7-8-9 weeks so should still be doubling. But according to some once you're past 6000 the doubling time is longer.
I'm trying not to freak out over here, and I'm hoping to get a scan on Monday or Tuesday. Can anyone stop me freaking out about a) miscarriage b) twins and c) molar pregnancy?
I don't think I'm further on than I think - http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2f5722 - it doesn't look like I could have ovulated any earlier.
Any advice and/or hugs much appreciated.
