Parents of lost babies and potential of all kinds: come here to share the technicolour, the vividness, the despair, the heart-broken-open, the compassion we learn for others, having been through this mess — and see it reflected back at you, acknowledged and understood.

ttc | pregnancy | birth after loss > FSH/LH results

Google is not my friend here. They were done on day 4 (5ish) period started late one day but day 4 was a weekend.

My results are 19 for FSH and 6 for LH - doc says normal but I think perhaps they know about it for menopause reasons. Google didn't seem to think 19 was too good at all but I'm getting bogged down a bit.

Is 19 okay? I found at least one site where it said "too high, poor chances".

Hi Merry
I have NO idea, but I hope everything is ok. And pleas step away from the Google. It's an echo-chamber that can feed us the worst of the worst.

Hugs
Sarah

Hi Merry, I have no idea either but I agree with Sarah that Google never does anyone any good. I am hoping for the best for you this month!

Oh Merry. I also have no idea but I can only repeat what Sarah H and Keely have already said. Google really is NOT your friend when it comes to medical matters. The last few doctors I've seen have even issued the parting shot "Don't go home and Google this!" But I know it is hard not to.
Can you speak to your doctor again and voice your concerns? If they are saying your levels are normal perhaps they can provide some reassurance. I didn't even find my actual figures out, just took their 'normal' as everything is fine! xo

Echoing the others here - stay away from google. Maybe go back to the doctors with your concerns and they might be able to explain further why they think it's OK.

Merry I agree that Dr Google can mess with your head. I had my FSH /LH tested at the beginning of the year and my FS Dr said that FSH levels can vary cycle to cycle and can go up and down, so often its not a great indicator. I also agree with the others that going back to your Drs for some further explanation and voicing your concerns might help.

I agree with everyone here - Google can be evil when it comes to medical issues. Also sending a big hug your way just because. xo

Oh, Merry. I am so sorry that the news you got did not bring you reassurance. I am keeping you in my thoughts.

One thing keeping me going a little over the FSH being so high is that my body is clearly even more confused than normal this month. Day15 and EWCM by the bucket but still negative OPKs. That's insanely late for me now. I know I ovulated last month but I do wonder if this pain in my side is related to one ovary and I'm only even getting one chance every two months.

Who knows, maybe my body is just having some mental reset and will pull itself together at some point.
