ttc | pregnancy | birth after loss > Rash
Could it possibly be razor burn? Or a change in deodorant? I used to use a deodorant that changed it's formula and resulted in a similar sort of rash.
If it's localized with no other symptoms, I'll wager it's probably dermatological and fixable. But I understand the anxiety. Glad you can see a doc quickly!

I don't think so - it's not actually in my armpit. It starts there and runs down to my elbow.

I dont know if it will help ease your mind at all but I get a rash on my stomach every time I'm pregnant, like little tiny bug bites, and I think it's a combination of hormones and running hotter (aka heat rash), so it's probably nothing to worry about. Don't google, that will drive you nuts. My doctor told me it was nothing and not to worry. Hugs, M

Hope the rash is nothing serious! My skin ALWAYS changes with pregnancy. I get pregnancy eczema on my face, my skin gets really dry, and sometimes random rashes appear. The, um, 'girls' have gotten so big lately, that I've developed a 'bug bite' type rash between them from heat I guess. KUP!

Back from the doctor, she thinks it's most probably an allergic reaction from brushing up against something. She's given me some steroid cream which she said is safe during pregnancy but being paranoid, am going to ring my ob and check she's happy for me to use it.
Also had my seasonal flu vaccine (it's going into winter here). Have been tossing up about whether to get it but was completely paranoid about getting swine flu all last winter and if I get the flu I am going to freak out. Of course, it anything happens to this baby in the next while, I'm going to blame myself. Nothing about this is very easy. I had the flu vaccine last year when I was pregnant and it was fine then.
Right - am getting back to lying on the couch with my trashy novel and trying to put a stop to the endless thoughts....
Thanks all for your replies.

Maddie,
My sil got the flu shot at 7 months gestation and all was well.
The flu shot is safe in all phases of pregancy. I would get it.
Take care,

Maddie, I got both, the flu shot and the swine flu, I wasnt going to but my OB thought it was a good idea and I felt like I needed to trust her. It actually helped me feel at ease, when previously I was afraid of it. The trashy novel is perfect, I think distraction is the key!
