Another calendar year. Another birthday. 11 years ago today you arrived and then left so quickly. If I close my eyes I can feel your tiny weight on my chest. Earlier this week I came across the keepsake box with casts of your tiny hands and feet. The sight of your open palm, thumb outstretched, always makes me wonder what you were trying to tell us. This day makes me want to be better. You remind me that I want to be better for our family and for you. I love you Sarah. Happy 11th Birthday. Mom.
