My son would have been five today. It was a busy day with work, but I managed to bake his birthday cake. I thought I was calm, but when I put the candles onto the cake, one by one, I broke into tears.
My grief is not as raw anymore as it used to be, but the anniversary of his birth and death is still hard.
I’m glad I can come to this place.
