Parents of lost babies and potential of all kinds: come here to share the technicolour, the vividness, the despair, the heart-broken-open, the compassion we learn for others, having been through this mess — and see it reflected back at you, acknowledged and understood.

Thanks to photographer Xin Li and to artist Stephanie Sicore for their respective illustrations and photos.

for one and all > Searching for a therapist

My son, Lawrence died 6 weeks ago. I know I am in need of therapy and have been trying to find someone. It’s been very difficult to find someone who can work with my schedule and takes my insurance (I need to stay in network.) I’ve bought a book, and went to a once a mont support group. I really need more support. Any suggestions until I can find a therapist?

I’m so sorry for the loss of son. It’s OK that you’re not OK by Megan Devine is a wonderful book that helped me. Also, writing has helped me. Sending you love.

So sorry about your boy. When I lost my daughter I started with TalkSpace - it's a secure app that connects you with a licensed counselor. Its different than face to face therapy, but its been helpful for me now that I'm back at work which makes appointments difficult. Sending love and light to you.
