Parents of lost babies and potential of all kinds: come here to share the technicolour, the vividness, the despair, the heart-broken-open, the compassion we learn for others, having been through this mess — and see it reflected back at you, acknowledged and understood.

Thanks to photographer Xin Li and to artist Stephanie Sicore for their respective illustrations and photos.

for one and all > "You're so hard on yourself"

"You're so hard on yourself.
Take a moment.
Sit back.
Marvel at your life:
at the grief that softened you,
at the heartache that wisened you,
at the suffering that strengthened you.
Despite everything
you still grow.
Be proud
of this."

Very opportune for me. I have just come off the phone to my mother where I have cried and berated myself and discussed how I have let my daughter down, my family down and myself down.
I could not appreciate this more at this moment.
Thank you for posting it.
I can at least aim for it even if I can't quite feel like that yet. It is a beautiful poem and I love it.
Sorry - all about me.
Feeling rather sorry for myself tonight!
Thinking of Riyad and your family as well as me!
